This year, one of my children decided she wanted to have a dragon themed birthday party. So as we were thinking of party favors, I thought it would be cool if we could make dragon teeth necklaces. Basically, the goal was to make an overgrown shark tooth and call it a dragon tooth. 😉

I started with the normal salt dough recipe (found ALL over google and pintrest):

1 cup salt, 1 cup flower, 1/2 cup warm water

This time I added a little bit of white paint to the dough, just to lighten them up. After that, it is just a matter of shaping something that looks like a big tooth.

I poked a hole in the top, so that we could turn them into necklaces. Once I made a BUNCH of them, I baked them in the oven for a few hours on 200 degrees. I turn them over after about an hour or two, that way the bottom gets nice and dry too. After they were completely hardened, I painted them and put mod podge on them to seal them.

Lastly, pull a string through, and TA-DA!
