This was a pretty simple craft, and a super cute idea for Valentines day. I did not take step by step pictures of this (mainly because my hands were covered I paint for most of the process), but hopefully I can describe it well enough. We picked similar color shades for each person to stay with the pink/red valentines day theme, but I almost wish the colors stood out a little more.
First we painted the canvas and then it was time for the hand prints. We started with the largest set of hands, making sure to let each set of handprints dry before adding the next. It was a little bit challenging to make sure all the kids keep their little hands still, especially because it really needs to be lined up nicely to form a heart. Lastly, all that was left to do was to paint the rest of the decorations and words (That part always makes me nervous because I don’t want to mess it up this late in the game!). I really like how it turned out, especially for Valentines day.
