This ornament came about as I was trying to come up with some ideas for new Christmas ornaments. I made this ornament to be part of a set (see picture at the bottom). I found a cheap little pinecone mold on wish.com and I thought it may be cute. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the mold works great with polymer clay. All I had to do was pack it in tightly and it came out great!
All I did after that was paint the pinecone with some acrylic paint to make it look more realistic. I decided to decorate around the pinecone, but I am not sure I like the starts. Next time I may only do the dots, or maybe write a family’s last name under the pinecone (if you made the ornament bigger).
