I have not had time to make the official “how to” post, but here is a preview of our Halloween Costumes this year. I made Lord Garmadon from scratch, every bit is hand made. The ninja costumes we found at a discount store at an after Halloween sale last year. I put in a lot of time and effort into my costume, and I am thrilled with how it turned out.
Hopefully a more detailed post will follow shortly.
I am trying to figure out how to do the second set of arms. Could you share what you made them out of and how they attached? My daughter is singing one of his songs in a talent show so…..I get to make the costumre! 🙂
Hey! Sorry for the late response. The second set of arms was made with a pool noodle and I attached it with fishing line to the arms above so that both sets of arms moved at the same time. I hope that helps.
Can i ask what you made the head out of? You did an INCREDIBLE job!! I told my husband I would make a Lord Garmadon costume for him, but I dont even know where to start. Have you started writing your diy tutorial yet? Lol, I have no idea how to make it! Haha!
It is made out of cardboard, then paper mache’ on top. It turned out cool, but super heavy!
Hello did you ever get around to doing the tutorial really interested.
Can I buy your Garmadon costume if you’re done w it? We want to do family ninjago costumes this year
We save all of our costumes, but I am glad you liked it! It was actually not all that comfy underneath and it really made my neck hurt after a while (the helmet was heavy). But thank you!
This is great! I am looking into making Lord Garmadon for Halloween this year. Do you post a DIY?
I actually have not yet. I got sidetracked and completely forgot. It did take me a long time to make him, but it was so worth it. I am going to try to type out the tutorial soon!
did you ever make a tutorial? Your costume is very cool we are doing ninjago this year
I have not, yet. I still hope to go back and make one.
