Another birthday party! This time my nine-year-old requested an Iron Man piñata. So here we go!

First I drew the shape of iron man’s head onto piece of cardboard and cut it out two times (it does kind of look like an egg, but the end result still resembled Iron Man LOL). You also need thin, long strips of cardboard for the sides of the piñata. These can be as wide as you want but when are usually around 3 to 4 inches. After cutting the pieces, we used lots and lots of hot glue to put the long strip of cardboard around the edge of the Iron Man head.

After putting the long strip all the way around the pin yada, make sure you poke holes where are you want the rope to go later.

I always add a few extra pieces of card board where the holes are. Just so that the rope doesn’t end up tearing the box. It gets pretty heavy with all the candy inside.

Then comes a lot more hot glue, to attach the second half of the head. Leave a little space for you to add the candy and the rope, before sealing it all the way. After that, I use crêpe paper (cutting slits on one side), And glue it all the way around the pin yada. This is probably the most time-consuming part. I find it easier to use a small amount of hot glue then a glue stick. But either works just fine.

Then, I cut printer paper to the shape I wanted for the details. After figuring out the template, I had to use shiny gold paper and cut it into strips. I frayed the ends like I did with the crêpe paper and then attached it to the piniata with hot glue, strip by strip.

That is pretty much all there was to it. I think it turned out pretty good.  My nine-year-old was super happy about it!
