My children have recently fallen in love with Star Wars. So, of course, that is what they chose for Halloween. My middle child LOVES Stormtroopers, so I started looking on YouTube for ideas. I found a lot of tutorials, and you could pick any one of them. I chose this one…

It showed a pretty cool helmet made out of cardboard, and card board is free. This was not easy, and it took forever, but I am happy about the result.

The helmet had a free printable pattern but I made it a little smaller since it was for a 6 year old. LOTS of pieces everywhere, but following the video step by step, I started to see something that resembled a Stormtrooper.

Eventually (after using more hot glue sticks than I could ever count), I had a cardboard helmet ready to be covered in paper mache’. After letting it dry, I spray painted it and added the details. The eyes are made from dollar store sunglass lenses.
